What effect will this have on the offshore books in general? Normally, I know everyone loves competition, but in your heart of hearts, you know that many of these places are run by less that 100% honest folks. Do you think the trend will be to pay quicker without the nonsense involved or will they look to move in the other direction ever so slightly?

No way they survive. No One in there right mind will play offshore if they have legal places to bet. Unless the odds are screwy.

I think they still will be around, the shady shops will get shadier, offering 1000% bonuses.

The top notch books better offer something better because people would rather play locally legally at their casino than worrying bout pulling out money offshore.

If it is legalized in states but ONLY offered if you physically go to local casino or elsewhere, that would be good for offshore.

I have seen many posts about screwy odds. Would they really make the odds more than 110? Cannot see any serious people playing at a higher rate than it already is.

Pa, NJ & Conn already will offer sports betting thru apps on your smartphone & playing online thru their casinos, etc.....

Trump wins again

Yup......most people thought we would never get legal sports betting, & within the same year Trump is elected, NJ betting case is heard in the Supreme Court out of thousands of cases where only 1% of cases are heard.

Trump wants most big companies to bring their money back to America, & invest in this country, same with money going over to other countries offshore.

Why have money floating over there when you can legalize it & have each state reap the rewards of taxing legal bookmaking.

"How's he gonna do that? With a magic wand?"

No, Mr. Obama, with great leadership melded with great business acumen and an understanding of world markets and what moves them.

Now go organize Chicago. Don't get killed while you're trying.

I think legalization helps offshore.

Money will be easier to move again & the thing that offshore will do is offer huge bonuses again & such....
